The first thing you have to do is sign up for Google Adsense Account with your gmail account. You will have to fill in a series of data. Once completed, you’ll have to wait about 2 days for Adsense to approve your account, confirming approval by email.
Once you have approved your account, you can access Adsense and enter your account, where you can create ad units, choosing the format you prefer (you can choose the size, type of advertisement, letter colors, etc).
When you finish creating the ad unit, Adsense Account will provide you with the ad code, which you simply place on your blog, wherever you want the ad unit to appear.
Each blog is different because of its structure, its theme, etc., so it’s a question of you doing tests to see what kind of ad gives you better results.
The sizes of ads that best results usually give are:
- 336 × 280 under the title of your posts and at the end of the post.
- 728 × 90 in the header of the blog.
- 300 × 250 in the sidebar of the blog.
In the following image you can see the ideal places to place the ad units. The darker the color, the more recommended it is.
It is also recommended that the ad be both text and image.
I advise you to choose the colors of the letter of the ads, the same color of the letter that you use in your blog, this way the ad will fit perfectly to your blog, and will appear as part of the content of your blog.
You can place up to 3 ads per page.
Before using Adsense on your blog it is important that you read The Adsense policy , so you know what is allowed and what is strictly prohibited.
